MD Place Tower 1

MD Place is a building owned by PT MD Entertainment, the largest production house in Indonesia, founded by Dhamoo Punjabi and Manoj Punjabi on March 6, 2003, after they left Multivision Plus. MD Place consists of two towers: MD Place Tower 1, located at Jl. Setiabudi Selatan No. 7, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, and MD Place Tower 2, located at Jl. Setiabudi Selatan No. 2, Kuningan, South Jakarta. The construction of MD Place was handled by PT. Tatamulia Nusantara Indah, a well-known construction company established in 1984, which has a track record of building office towers and five-star hotels. Remarkably, the construction of MD Place was completed in just seven months, finishing in September 2013.

The design of MD Place, particularly Tower 1, is striking and distinctive, resembling a spider's web from the outside. However, Manoj Punjabi explained that the building's design was inspired by the human neural network, symbolizing the continuous growth and development of the employees under MD Entertainment. This unique and unconventional design was created by Tanumi + Partners (Aurasia Design), while the interior design was executed by James Wijaya from Metaphor and Sammy Hendtamianto. MD Place Tower 1 stands 13 floors high, with a total building area of 11,300 square meters, and is classified as a Grade B office building.
