Plaza Bank Index, formerly known as Plaza Permata, is a Grade B office building located in the heart of Jakarta's Central Business District, specifically at Jl. M.H. Thamrin No. 57. The building features 14 floors, consisting of 13 above-ground levels and a basement, with a total gross floor area of 25,000 square meters. Since its operation began in 1991, Plaza Bank Index has housed a diverse range of businesses, including banking, leasing, and education.
Constructed in 1989 by PT. Mitra Permata Indah, a joint venture between Pembangunan Perumahan, Taisei, and Mitsui, the building's development cost amounted to Rp28 billion. The office building was designed through a collaboration between Japanese architects A&T Associates and Indonesia's Perentjana Djaja. The elegant design, combined with a unique atrium that is the only one of its kind on Thamrin Street, adds to the appeal of Plaza Bank Index as a prominent office building in the area.
