World Trade Center (WTC)

The World Trade Center (WTC) is an office complex located in the heart of Jakarta's Central Business District, specifically at Jl. Jend. Sudirman Kav 29-30. This complex consists of six office buildings with a total area of 16,000 m². WTC 5, the first to be built between 1973 and 1976, was originally known as Wisma Metropolitan 1. It was designed by Palmer & Turner along with Perentjana Djaja and officially inaugurated on March 15, 1977, by Governor Ali Sadikin. WTC 6, previously called Wisma Metropolitan 2, was constructed from 1983 to 1985 and inaugurated on October 19, 1985, by Governor R. Soeprapto.

In addition, WTC 1 was built between April 1990 and January 1992 and was inaugurated on January 31, 1992, by Governor Wiyogo Atmodarminto. WTC 2 was completed in 2012, designed by Aedas and PTI Architects. Meanwhile, WTC 3, which started construction in 2015, was completed in 2018. It was designed by Aedas, Anggara Architeam, and Davy Sukamta & Partners, with the construction carried out by Balfour Beatty Sakti and Berca Buana Sakti.
